Plethora of Posts

Here are a whole lot of posts in one. Our Internet has been doing weird things this week, hence the lack of posting from me. Enjoy!
St. George
We went to St. George last weekend. It was amazingly relaxing and a lot of fun. Probably the easiest time we have had down there with the Hoard. And I decided not to do a whole post about St. George and just picked my favorite pic from the trip. Honestly, once you have seen one of my SG posts you seen them all. We don't really change up the activities we do down there.
Grandma Wiggles
My poor Grandma fell a day or two after we left St. George. She broke her arm and her pelvis. She will be in the hospital then a care center for a while. We may be venturing down to SG again to help her out. Although, I may not be ANY help with 5 kids.
Showers
I have been to a million and one showers in the past few weeks. I am not kidding. But I am not complaining. I love a good shower. And whats not to love. Good food, good people, presents, time away from kids....
This pic is from my cousin Sammi's shower. We love her.

Last Days of Preschool

For Aiden and Andrews last day of preschool we got to go to the Dinosaur Park. The kids loved it. They probably could have stayed there all day. Unfortunately their 'fun' mother couldn't handle it much longer. You see, I live for quiet time.

The boys would run from dinosaur to dinosaur screaming at the top of their longs. Luckily I had Emily and another mom to help keep track of the boys.

Oakley's last day we spent at the park, played, and had a picnic. Once again the kids loved it. Mrs Eggett took them around the park and, as always, could tell the kids something about everything they saw.
Boo to the end of preschool.

Oops All Berries!

My kids have weird poop all the time. As some of you have experienced first hand. We purchased some Oops All Berries the other day and every time they eat them Paige and Morgan have bright green poop and since their poop is NEVER solid it looks like disgusting slime. The other day Kimmy got the opportunity to change one of these diapers. And to make it that much more interesting it stained Paige's bum blueish green. It makes me wonder what the Captain is making his berries out of?

Tractor Riding

Emily's next door neighbor had a tractor and gave the kids a ride the other day. It was the shortest ride I have ever seen, but the kids thought it was the greatest.
Well, there you go. A bunch of random events in the life of the Jensens.

DFCU 5K-2

Last week some of the fam participated in the annual DFCU 5K. We met up a little early so the kids could have dinner.
Sandwiches, chips, drinks, string cheese, and cookies. It was a successful picnic. And the first time I got to use my cute new cooler.
The starting line. The boys were very excited to get to 'run' the race with Trent. Jill was pretty excited too.

The finish line. Trent told the boys that they couldn't ask questions during the race because he can't run and talk at the same time. And believe it or not, they didn't talk the whole time. Which is quite a miracle, our kids never stop talking...

And the reason I didn't get to run this year. My dang foot. I saw a sports medicine doctor at the Marathon last week and as I described my symptoms/problems with my foot, she thought it was probably a stress fracture. Of course, she said I needed to come to her office to she could be sure, but then she said a stress fracture doesn't always show on the x-ray and there isn't usually much they can do besides keep off your foot as much as possible and maybe wearing a boot. So, I keep going back and forth about going to the Dr. for real. I hate spending money when nothing can be done. I swear, my body just doesn't want to cooperate with running.
Needless to say I am pretty frustrated.

Sweat Head

Piage and Morgan are sweaty sleepers. In fact, they are so sweaty that they don't get to sleep in the new comforters I made. And when I say I made, I mean, I had someone piece it together and I helped my mom do the rest. There will be pictures when I can go back and help my mom sew some pillows to match....and when I figure out another decoration to go on the bare wall...

Anyways, on this particular occasion Morgan woke up drenched. She was literally dripping...on one side of her body. The other side was bone dry.

She was pretty mad that I had to take a picture.

Field Trip

We went on a field trip on Monday. The kids had a blast. We rode the bus into SL, which my kids thought was the coolest thing ever. We walked around the gardens listening to Mrs. Eggett teach the kids about everything. I swear she knows something about everything in this world.
Oakley, Andrew, and Aiden in front of the fountain. And, no, I didn't dress them the same on purpose. They picked out their own clothes.

And preschool is almost over. I thought I was going insane before....what am I going to do all summer!

Trent's B Day & Amazing Marathon

We celebrated Trent's birthday this past weekend. And the Ogden Marathon happened to fall right on his birthday. So, Friday night we went up and got his race packet.
The kids always love seeing/playing on the HUGE trains.
On the way home there was a huge, full rainbow, which the kids loved as well.
The next morning I got the kids ready, loaded them up, and got to the finish line to get a glimpse of Trent.

I realized the combination of thousands of people, 5 little kids, a horrible design of the finish area, picture taking, walking, and one adult doesn't go well.

I didn't get any real good picture of Trent. He was on the opposite side of the road from us and hidden by a lot of other runners. but I did get this one of him crossing the line.

Trent loves it when his kids are there to see him finish. And do you see Aidens 4T sticker still on his shirt? He said he was leaving it on because they were his race numbers. I am sure he is going to be a runner just like his dad.

Aren't they all cute?
Trent did amazingly in the race. He finished with a time of 2:48:55 and got 8th place overall. Like I always say, my man is a machine!

Sunday is the day that we ended up celebrating Trent's birthday. We had both families up for a delicious (and our first) BBQ of the season. I am so glad the weather finally cooperated! I only have 2 pictures from this activity and neither are about Trent...
Brooke came up a little early so we took advantage of the warmth and sunshine.

And Aiden was so exhausted from the weekend activities that he fell asleep during the chaos.
Thanks to everyone for coming and celebrating with us! I think Trent had a great birthday all around!

The Camping Experienc

Like I said before, Trent took the older kids camping for the weekend. The kids love camping and ask to go all the time. If it were up to them, we would be camping every weekend.

When they got to the chosen spot they found every site occupied. Bummer. They had to stay at Trent's parents house for the night. In the morning they went somewhere else and found a spot.
Trent said the kids didn't eat any meals, just the treats and snack foods they picked out at the store. Our kids are the worst eaters, except for Andrew. He is awesome!
Oakley told me she slept a long, long, long, long, loooonggg time in the tent. For those that have listened to Oakley tell a story, you can just picture her face while she is telling me this.

They were lucky enough to meet up with Jake and Candice for the weekend. And Jake and Candice were nice enough to spend some time with my kids. My kids love when they get to see them!
Trent and the kids had a great time and Trent is already trying to figure out another time to go camping. Hopefully we can make it a whole family event!

Funk

I have been in a bad funk for a few weeks. I blame it on the weather....or the kids....or my injuries...anything but myself. I just can't seem to pull myself out. I am ornery, unhappy, and have been involved in multiple pity parties for myself. Pathetic I know. I have a great life, but this dang weather with combination of 5 kids that can't go outside, and my increasing chubbiness is dragging me down. See, there I go again....

Yesterday I called Trent and told him as soon as he walked through the door I was walking out of it. I had to escape and escape I did. What better way to cheer someone up than unlimited ice cream cones.
I know....my chubbiness issue is all my doing.

I had a great night eating at Jason's Deli, doing returns (always fun to get money back!), browsing the stores, and having girl talk with Kimmy. It was a much needed night for me and I will have to say today was a much better day. Here's to another good day tomorrow.

Mother's Day?

My Mother's Day weekend really wasn't much of a Mother's Day weekend. Trent took the older kids camping, so I only had Paige and Morgan, which was like a vacation for me. The weekend started out good with a late night with Kimmy catching up on Greys Anatomy. We had six episodes to watch and it took 2 nights to do it.

The next morning the girls and I headed to a Johnson Shower. It was delicious and it is always good to see the family.
I stole this pic from Jamie's blog. I have pictures on my camera, but I am just too lazy to download them...

After the shower is when my weekend started to turn crappy. I was working (the reason I didn't go camping with my family) and was gone the rest of the day. I got yelled at by a patients daughter, had to put a catheter in-which is never fun, had to tell a pt's wife that her husband only had a day or two left, and had to do an admit. Thanks to Kim for watching the girls! Affter the long afternoon, I got my favorite taco's from Cafe Rio on the way home and got sick shortly after eating them, which is actually a good thing. Now I won't crave them every single day.

Sunday we went to church, which is always nice. Love the nursery and being kid free for a little while! Left church early because I got another call for work. Another admit. Admits are the worst, they take forever and there is a ton of paperwork following. Thanks to Brooke for taking the girls this time! Although, she wasn't complaining because she was able to miss some church. ;) After the admit I was driving to the Mother's Day dinner at the Jensens when I got the call that the patient from yesterday had passed away. So sad for his wife. Finally got back for dinner, which was so good. We went home, put the kids right to bed, then put ourselves right to bed.

And to top things off something is wrong with my foot. I did a long run on Friday and everything was fine. Then Saturday it started hurting and just got worse. I can barely even walk on it now. I am just cursed. It looks like I will never get back into running completely.

Sorry for my downer post, but my blog is about my life and that was my life for the weekend. And sometimes life is hard. But I would rather be busy at work, than out of work. I would rather feel pain when I walk than not be able to walk at all. I would rather be exhausted at the end of the day from taking care of my kids than not getting the opportunity to be a Mom. So, I guess it really was a good Mother's Day weekend after all.

Kimmy's Day

Yesterday was Kimmy's birthday, so we decided to go to Firehouse Pizza. And we scored, cause kids eat free on Tuesday! Woot Woot!
Here is The Hoard devouring a FH'Zookie. It was quite a sight. I got my own. I don't like to share. And I wonder why I am chubby...
The girls, Emily, Kimmy, Me, and my Mom. I never thought I looked like my mom, but I think we look so much alike in this pic. Weird.
Happy Birthday to Kimmy! I hope you had a great day!

Jill's Day

I should say Jill's month, because starting with yesterday the next few weeks are going to be all about Jill. Jill is Trent's sister for those that don't know and she lived with us for 3 years. The reason for the month of celebrating is that Jill is getting married on June 4th. Very exciting. And to start the celebrations off, she went through the temple yesterday AND it was her birthday as well.
Always good to go to the temple. I need to do it more often. I think I could turn my frown upside down if I fit the temple into my life a little more regularly.

Afterward we had a birthday lunch at our house to celebrate Jill's birth and the Temple. Always good times and good food!

We couldn't be happier for Jill and Cameron and are so excited for the approaching date! And all the celebrations between now and then!
Happy Birthday Jill!
