4th of July

I deleted some photos from another blog I had a while ago and was able to get enough space for a post. And since I use my blog as my journal, you all have to bare with me while I back post and get caught up.

Back to the 4th of July.

We had a fun one. We started the day of swimming at Maga's pool.

We had some fun with the underwater camera.

Got to hang out with these two lovebirds.

The boys loved jumping off the diving board and trying to catch a ball in the process.

We had some good chicken fights.

Ate some delicious Dominos.

The boys got to hang out together.

While this boy slept the morning away.

The girls swam their hearts out.

And Jackson finally got used to the water.

And a family shot.

Later that night we had a BBQ at our house. Because of my current space problem I don't have too many pictures. If you would like a more detailed recap visit Jamie's Blog here. I stole all the pics from her anyways.

And some good dance moves involved too.

Because of the firework restrictions we had to move the party down the hill. We hit up a church parking lot and let off a few smoke bombs.

 And a few hundred parachutes.

This was Annie's position for the whole firework party.

Then came the BIG ones. Trent did a magnificent job picking out some great aerials.

And a group shot of most us.

And one of my favorite pictures from the night. Grandma Teri with her grand kids. Love it.

It was a great celebration. Thanks to all who joined in the fun and brought food, fireworks, and fun. We had a blast!

No More Space

Just wanted to send a post out there to explain my absence. Besides all the Holiday festivities, work, girls camp, and the normal mother of 5 stuff I have no more space for pictures on my blog. I have used up my free allotment and will now have to pick a plan and pay a monthly fee. And since I am computer illiterate I need Trent to help me so I get the best plan and don't get bamboozled out of my money. Has anyone else had to start paying for their storage space?

As soon as I get this figured out I will {hopefully} be back to blogging. I wish I could say that storage space was the only reason for my lack of blogging. I just don't make the time to blog anymore. Out of everything in my life my blog always gets pushed to the back burner, which makes me sad. I love how it documents our lives here at The Hoard.  Its good to look back on the chaos and remember how lucky we are. I need to get back into the blogging kick for that reason alone.

And I also can't wait to get Corn Man off the top of my blog posts.

Until next time.

Corn Man

Even though I am up all night working as I type this, I am so thankful for the job that I have. How would you like to dress up like a corn man in 100+ degree weather?
Can you imagine the moisture inside that thing?

Windblown Sleep

We had a pool party on Saturday and the kids swam and swam and swam. On the way home they all zonked out. I for one do not know how the girls slept with their hair whipping their faces, but slept they did.

This is what most of our days look like. Our new clothing of choice is a swimsuit. Our hairstyle of choice is "orphan." And our ride of choice is topless.

Grandma Holly's B Day

We finally got around to celebrate Grandma Holly's birthday. It was clear back in the middle of June, but you see my mom wasn't in town for the whole month of June. Oh, the life of an empty nester. ;)

We decided to hit up Robintinoes for lunch and once again I was reminded why I hate eating at sit down restaurant with  my kids. Oh well, the food was good and so was the company.

And amazingly enough we got a pic with everyone's face showing. I don't know if that has ever happened.

After dinner Grandma Holly treated every grandkid to a gumball.
Hope you had a good birthday mom!!

E is for Eddy

Last weekend I ran the Race for Grief 10K with Lindsey. We ran for Eddy. It was a good race, for a good cause. And since Old Navy had such a good sale I was able to pick up the blue tanks for dirt cheap and then paint an E for Eddy. Unfortunately, I didn't know Lindsey's brother Blake would be running, otherwise I would have made him a cute little tank top as well. ;)

I had two great running partners for the race. Of course Linds and then her sis-in-law Janetha, whom I stole these pictures from. I hope you don't mind Janetha. I stalk her blog AND steal her pictures.

It got kind of emotional near the end of the race. Especially crossing the finish line and seeing family and friends there supporting all those that have lost babies. These 2 had to be the cutest ones there. And Izz did an excellent job on her poster don't you think?

Thanks for inviting me to run Lindsey, as always, it was fun to run with you. And thanks for being so amazing. You rock.

Old Navy

Old Navy Outlet had a killer sale. The whole store was 40% off, plus I had a 10% off coupon. And they had a lot of great stuff on clearance. So, last Friday I hired a babysitter and went up to do some serious shopping. Lets just say I scored some great deals and nothing I bought ended up being more than $5 and most was around $3! Just take a look at the length of that receipt. I got so much stuff for so little money. It was fabulous.

I had tried not to buy any new summer clothes for the kids this year because they still fit in last years clothes, however with the screaming deals I got them some new shorts, tanks/T shirts, 4th of July gear, and swim suits, which they actually needed. Their old swimsuits were started to sag in all the wrong places. The kids couldn't have been happier with the new swimwear. And since we live in our swimsuits these days, I thought it was necessary to have suits that were not see through in places. ;)

Buying 5 sets of clothes every season can get pricey, so I always love a good sale and try take advantage when I can. And this one was one of the best yet!
