Silly Serpent...

On Oakley's birthday James and Josh brought a snake that they had captured from their backyard. Aiden LOVED it, Oakley finally started liking it by the end of the night, and Andrew wouldn't even touch the thing. This is the closest Andrew would get to the snake.
Aiden named the snake "A."
After everyone left, including James and Josh WITHOUT their snake, Oakley started warming up to "A."

Tinker Bell Party!!!

We had a great party for Oakley. She was so excited when she woke up from her nap to see all the Tinker Bell paraphernalia everywhere! We enjoyed pizza, egg hunt, presents, cake, and ice cream. Oakley had so much fun. We can't believe our little Oakley is 2, especially since she is wearing size 3-6 month pants in these pics!
Our cute little birthday girl!
Jill, Morgan, Paige, and Kimmy watching all the kids find eggs.
Oakley loved finding things to put in her Tinker Bell bucket!
All the boys got Captain Hook hooks. This picture makes me laugh.
PRESENTS!
CAKE TIME!

Oakley would only eat the frosting off her cake.

Oakley actually likes Tinker Bell so much, she started eating her!
Hmm, Oakley wouldn't touch her cake, but she would eat the paper confetti. Kids?

Happy Birthday Oakley!

This morning at 12:38 Oakley turned 2! We are celebrating her birthday tomorrow with a Tinker Bell party. To get ready for the big day, I took Oakley to get her hair cut. We went to the cutest place called Cookie Cutters. It is so kid friendly-the chairs are fun cars, they have TVs at every station, and they have a big slide in the waiting room. Oakley looked so cute sitting in her pink car, watching Shrek, and getting rid of her old orphan hairdo! ;)

FHE

For family night we took a drive to the mountains. Mostly because Trent and I just didn't want to take care of kids any more. Just strap them in the "BIG" car, turn on a movie, and drive for an hour or so. We did free them to climb on some rocks and get a family picture.
Aiden was upset because he fell asleep on the way up. So, he has his angry face in the group shots. Thanks Aiden!
He finally cheered up for his close up!
Andrew loved the rocks. When we told him it was time to go he got mad and said, "No, I need to just finish the rocks!"
Paige was enjoying being outside, snacking on a clump of grass she grabbed in the kids picture. We didn't know she had it until we were putting her back in the car!
Morgan was loving the outdoors, even with cold feet and hands.
Our cute little Oakley. She walked around the mountain with her hands stuffed in the front pocket of her shirt. She looked so cute!

Bottles at Last!!!

No more breastfeeding! EVER!
I am officially done feeding my girls. I have been looking forward to this day since I found out I was having twins again. I am so excited to have a normal body (somewhat.) Being pregnant and breastfeeding for 4 straight years has major affects on one's body. I have already enjoyed some new freedoms, eating out with Jamie and Heidi, shopping with my mom, and working during the girls eating times! It is so nice not to have to rush home to feed girls!!
This is the first day of the bottle. Paige was not very happy and it took a while to get her to take it. She was trying to climb over Morgan to get to me, screaming the whole time.
After a day the girls were experts at the bottle. It is so nice to set them on the ground and have them feed themselves!

Qoutes from Aiden....

Here are a few of the funny stories about Aiden's latest sayings:
* Yesterday we were all in the front yard and in the street there were some orange construction cones. Aiden was trying to pick them up and bring them into our yard. I told him he couldn't play with them and that he had to stop and come back in our yard. He dropped the cone, turned around, and raised his arms and said, "You got to be kidding me?"
* Right after the cone incident Aiden and Andrew were playing in our front yard. For those of you who don't know, Aiden loves to sing "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam." So, he started singing his latest rendition of the song, which sounded like he was impersonating Steven Tyler. He was opening his mouth so big and screaming the song. I asked him why he was singing like that and he said "I just trying to scare Jesus!"
* One Sunday morning I came out of my room all dressed and ready for church and Aiden looks up and says, "Oh, you look so pretty!" Now, if he could teach his dad to say stuff like that. ;)
* A couple of mornings ago, Aiden woke up and went into the bathroom. He pulled his pants down to find a wet pull up. He was so mad and yelled, "OH, DANGIT! Somebody peed in my pullup!"

Paige's new favorite thing...

So, I found Paige in the bathroom this morning. I guess she wanted to play with old diapers and used tissues. The gross thing is that I let her keep playing with them while I got my camera. I am an excellent Mom!So, I cleaned it all up and put Paige in the TV room with her toys. The phone rang and I went to get it. I was on the phone for all of 2 mins and came back to find Paige right back in the bathroom! What a stinker. Well, at least she thinks its funny!
Maybe I should just empty the garbage can???

Grandpa Brad's B-Day!

Yesterday we celebrated Grandpa Brad's birthday. Our kids were really excited to go to Grandma and Grandpa's and give Grandpa his fireballs! I think everyone had the idea to give Grandpa his favorite treats. The grandkids really liked this idea because as soon as he opened his present they all reached in for a Double Bubble!!!
Oakley loves Big Brad and little Morgan is so cute standing there with her dad!
Grandpa Brad getting ready to blow out candles!
Cousins!
All the cousins (and Jenny's hand).
Look how cute the newest addition, little Annie, is!!!

Cake Decorating???

I have been wanting to take a cake decorating class for a while now. I haven't been able to find one, so I am asking for help. If there is anyone out there that knows of a class or even knows how to decorate a cake let me know. I really want to be able to make cute cakes for my kid's birthdays. And if anyone wants to join me I think it would be really fun, plus taking classes is a lot funner with friends, right Melissa and Sara?!?
I was trying to find a cute picture of a cake to put with this post and I found this pic. Who makes a cake like this??? I can hear the requests now, "I want a piece with a sperm on it!"

A visit from MMMaaaandi!

Mandi and her two kids stopped by yesterday afternoon for a little visit. The last time we saw each other I was big and pregnant with Paige and Morgan. It was good to see them again and it is always fun to show off Paige and Morgan for the first time.
Kyler talking to Paige and Morgan. He liked them until Mandi picked them up, he definitely didn't want to share his mom!
Andrew and Jocelyn fighting over the right of way.

Morgan and Mandi.
The whole crew!
Me and Mandi.
Don't look too close at me. Ugg. I pull off the tired, worn out mom look too well.

Long night with sick kids!

With five sick kids it is hard to function properly. I already had a hard time with my kids, but after last night I am more thankful for the "easy" days. Here is the schedule of awakenings. Of course, all the kids took turns waking up at different times.
22:30 we hit the sack
23:00 Aiden crying
23:30 Aiden again
00:00 Oakley crying
00:30 Oakley and Aiden coughing fit
1:00 Morgan needed suctioning
1:30 Andrew crying
2:00 Oakley coughing
3 hour stretch of sleep
5:00 Oakley coughing
5:30 Oakley crying
6:00 Paige and Morgan crying
7:00 Aiden and Andrew awake for the day
7:30 Paige and Morgan awake for the day
8:00 Oakley awake for the day
So, pray for my kids. Pray that they survive their colds and their tired, crabby mom!

5 minutes...

There are only about 5 minutes in every 24 hours that my kids play nicely together. For those 5 mins (not always a consecutive 5 mins) there is no screaming, fighting, crying, or teasing. It is so peaceful. Here are some pictures of the last 5 minute stretch of happiness.
This is what ended this peaceful playtime. Andrew is such a big help!

You go girl...

Andrew had a little trouble using the neighbor's bathroom and couldn't quite get it all in the toilet. Luckily she had some extra pants to put him in. However, I don't think Andrew looks as good in pink flowers as her little girl! When he got home he wouldn't take them off! He just loved wearing Caroline's pants. Is this something to worry about? :)
