First Meal...

Paige and Morgan have advanced to rice cereal. It takes a lot longer to feed them now, but it's okay. It means they are getting older and the more real food they eat, the closer I get to be done with breastfeeding.
FOREVER!!!

At Home America

I had my At Home America party last night. Thanks to all who came. It turned out to be really fun. A lot of cute stuff was ordered. Here are a couple things that I think I will order:

I am going to use this for my Christmas cards!!

I love stripes and polka dots! So, of course, I love this throw.

~~~~~
I am sure I will end up with a few more things. If anyone else wants to order you can go to www.athome.com/an-g and then call me! They have a ton of cute stuff! Thanks again to all who came last night!
What a mess...
Oakley was having a good time eating lunch today!
Who would of thought such a messy kid could come from Trent?
A moment of peace...
I was in the kitchen one day and noticed it was a little quieter than usual. I couldn't see my kids anywhere until I peeked over the couch. They were all lined up next to each other on the floor. This hardly ever happens. That is, having all the kids laying down, doing nothing at the same time! Needless to say it didn't last very long!
Recipes from Trent and Amy
Since I read Mandi and Autumn's blog I will do two recipes. Whoever reads my blog will need to put a recipe on theirs. It is fun to get different ideas for dinner!
The first one is from Trent-
Go to Cupboard.
Pick favorite cereal.
Pour desired amount into bowl.
Pour 1/2 cup to 1 cup milk onto cereal.
Add spoon and enjoy!!
This is really Trent's favorite thing for meals-breakfast lunch or dinner, but I'm not complaining!
Here is one of my favorites-
Potato Soup
You will need:
*8 medium potatoes cubed and boiled.
*2 cans cream of chicken soup
*2 cups chicken broth
*2 cups half and half
*cooked, broken up bacon
*shredded cheese
*sour cream
Combine first four ingredients into big pot. Heat thoroughly. Scoop individual servings and add sour cream, cheese, and bacon on top and serve. You can really add anything on top that you would put on a baked potato. It is very good!!
White Trash?
Jake asked what was next for this white trash family. Well, it wasn't mullets or moustaches, but the next best thing....Tattoos. They got pirate tattoos for their pirate party. (I guess we really are white trash). But they love them. Anyway, Trent thought he was pretty funny when he put Oakley's tattoo on. Don't worry I took it off pretty quick. So, please don't judge our parenting skills from this experience of tattoos. Or maybe you should.......
Monster Trucks!!
Jake and Jill gave the boys monster truck show tickets for their birthday! Trent and Jake took the boys a week ago to the huge, noisy event. Our boys might have suffered permanant hearing damage, but they had a ton of fun. They were able to go in the pits and get right up to the huge trucks. And one of their favorite things was Sponge Bob. They have never even seen the cartoon, but they loved him!! Thanks to Jake and Jill for a fun and creative birthday present!!!
Just the two of us...
Trent and I were able to go out to eat by ourselves on Friday!! Brad and Heidi had our boys, Grandma and Grandpa Jensen had Oakley, and Grandma and Grandpa Veigel had the girls. With five little kids we need to send them out to a few different people. So, we were able to go to one of our favorite restaurants, Chili's. Trent got his usual turkey bacon sandwich and I got the grilled salmon and, of course, cheese sticks. We were too full by the end to eat out favorite thing at Chili's, which would be the giant molten lava cake. Maybe next time.
Big Boy Primary
My boys are now in big boy primary!! I can't believe they are sunbeams. They have a great teacher and already love her. Last week she gave them CTR rings for their first day. The boys came home singing church songs and even taught Oakley "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam." Of course all they do is repeat the high Sunbeam part of the song!
Sisters
I am so lucky to have three sweet girls. And my girls are so blessed to have each other and to be so close in age. I can only hope that they will be best friends their whole lives. I, on the other hand, grew up with 3 brothers. I can't complain now, because they have helped me become the person I am today. But I couldn't borrow Cade's clothes, have Jake dye my hair, or stay up all night talking about boys with Luke?? So, I always wanted to have a sister to do all those things with. Well, when I was almost 20, my cousin Mandi moved in with us while she went to school and I got to experience all those things. However, at times it made me realize how lucky I was to be the only girl growing up. Moments like when I went to get dressed and the outfit I wanted to wear was gone. Or when I needed to shower and get ready and Mandi had gotten up just one minute before me and taken the bathroom. :) But on the other hand we did get to share each others clothes, give each other opinions on hairdos, stay up all night talking, go shopping, and just hang out together. It was perfect having a best friend live in the next room. And now I am lucky enough to have 8 sister-in-laws to hang out with, raise babies with, and be best friends with (and live with). So, I know there will be good times and bad times as sisters, but I hope my girls can have as much fun as I did having a sister for just over one year and as much fun with their future sister-in-laws as I do now!!
Frosty the Snowman
We have been getting so much snow this year and my kids love it, Andrew especially. After the last snow storm the kids went out with Trent to make a snowman. We didn't have the usual accessories for the snowman, so we improvised. The kids love to look out the window and see their Frosty!
Paige and Morgan
Paige and Morgan were being so cute and happy. Probably because I was able to give them some attention. They are now almost 5 months. I can't believe it. Paige is on the left, Morgan is on the right.
Whenever my girls lay next to eachother, they always find the other one's hand to hold (or suck on).
Giddy As A School Boy!
Warner Brother's announcement to support Blu-ray discs exclusively represents a milestone of eternal significance in the High Definition format war. As news of this announcement reached our home an overwhelming spirit of peace and excitement insued. Blu-ray now controls 6 of the 8 studios including Warner Brothers, Disney, Fox, Lions Gate, MGM, & Sony Pictures. Hopefully it is only a short time until the remaining 2 studios see the light!!!!
Just a little fun...
I took this test on Who Wears the Pants. I thought for sure Trent would. ;) But it looks like we work well together. What do you think??
***Both of You Wear the Pants***
You and your guy seem to have struck the perfect power balance.
It's not that you don't disagree - it's just that you've learned how to compromise well. You're both mature enough to know that you can't always get your way... And usually, you're both adult enough to reach an agreement - even if that sometimes means giving in a little.
It's sad that this is one of the most recent pictures that Trent and I have of only us. Most of our pictures consist of our kids. It is kind of like our life. We don't really have time for just us. I guess that is what happens when you have a preschool at your house.
P.S. I am pregnant with Paige and Morgan in this pic. So don't judge the fat.
