A Pre-Reunion Reunion

I am so lucky to have such good friends. We have all been friends since High School days and earlier. Kellee came into town so we decided to have a girls night out. We dined at one of our favorites, Robintinoes. Then hung out at my house for a few mins. It is hard to get together as much as we would like, but when we do it is just like old times. Well, almost. We did miss all you girls that couldn't make it!
Me, Kellee, Cecilie, and Melissa enjoying good grub.
I love these girls! (and cute little Kody!)
My kids can't get enough of Kellee. She plays with them, reads them books, and even brings them surprises. They even wanted her to sleep over tonight.

So, tonight over dinner we decided that we were all going to go to our 10 year High School Reunion. We will see how it goes. Is there a miracle drug that can get rid of weight, lift some saggy areas, and make you look 10 yrs younger?

My Luau Post

We had a surprise Luau party for Jenny over the weekend. It was such a good time. There was delicious food, crazy slip-n-slide, candy filled pinata, presents, and a cute cake and home made icecream. It was a great night. Thanks Heidi for putting it together!

The James and Josh Adventure is Ending...

Well, we have had a great few days with James and Josh at our house. We take them back home today, so the fun is ending. Here are a few, well a lot, of pics of our fun time together. This may be a picture overload for most of you, but I just had to post them and believe me, I could have done A LOT more!

So, one of our many activities was a water balloon fight. Jill and I filled balloons for an hour and the kids destroyed them in 5 mins. So worth the work???

We told everyone to go get James. He LOVED being the target. Seriously.
This picture cracks me up.
James was a pretty good escapee.

James is getting Andrew back here. You can even see the balloon exploding on Andrew.
Trent threw a balloon right on Aiden's forehead. He had the leftovers on his head the rest of the fight.
Morgan just watched. I think she liked it.
Paige and Oakley being goofy in the pool.
*
Last night we decided to go on a hike. Everyone had a good time, that is until they would trip on a stump or rock, then they thought they were dying.

The group on the trail.

ALL of us. It was quite a sight to see us all hiking.
Trent and our girls. So darn cute.
Josh and Aiden. I don't know how their faces got so dirty???
Since we were in a nature mood with the hiking, the kids and Trent slept in the tent last night. This was a first for James and Josh.
The boys and Oakley lined up in the tent.

We really did have a great time and we hope that Brad and Heidi had an even better time on their cruise. So Jealous!

More Celebrating!

Yesterday we made our way down to the fair again. The boys FINALLY got to go on all the blow up rides. They had been wanting to do it since they saw them the night before. It was so crowded and the lines were sooo long. And let me tell you, if I wasn't convinced before about having more kids I am now. It is too hard to keep track of a herd of kids, keep them all happy, keep them all clean, and keep them ALL entertained.
This was the night before after they each got a turn at the fish pond. They are showing off their treasures. James looks pretty excited.
There was a rock wall that the kids played on for a while, later we found out that we were supposed to give them tickets for this. Oops!
James was the only one that could actually climb the wall by himself.
Aiden LOVED the climbing wall. We will have to put one in somewhere for this monkey!
Here's Josh's attempt. He was concentrating too hard to look at the camera.
And Andrew decided he just wanted to hang there. Good thing Jill was there!
Oakley thought she wanted to climb until she actually started doing it. I love her face. I LOVED this picture of Andrew with his cotton candy.
This was at the end of the day and amazingly we are still smiling!

So, now another year until I can enjoy the fair again. It was hard, but well worth it and I would definitely do it again!

The 24th Celebrations Begin!

I love living in Bountiful during the 24th of July. A lot of it may just be the nostalgic feelings I get from my childhood days, all the activities; parades, fireworks, fair games AND food, all of which are so fun. And now I get to see my kids enjoying all these festivities
The night started out with a parade and my kids loved it! James and Josh have started their multi day sleepover with us, so they got to join in the fun too!
They got otter pops, taffy, bubble gum, and tootsie rolls thrown at them through the whole thing. They were ALL in heaven.
Trent and I with our girls. I don't know what Trent is doing with his face.
Kim and Jill. 2 of our FAVORITE "nannies!"
Another beautiful face. Why do boys feel the need to do weird faces for pics?
Cade, Emily, Sarah, and Aaron.

Morgan and Paige. They actually really enjoyed the parade!
Oakley and Aaron were doing some pretty cool dance moves to the marching bands!
We finished the night off with fireworks. It was a perfect view from our roof!

Can't wait to do the fair tomorrow! BBQ, corn on the cob, tiger paws, cotton candy, hot dogs, fish pond, and rides here we come!

Sick of Being Chubby.

After I weighed myself last week I felt very depressed. I had gained 5 pounds since my trip to New York. Granted, 3 of the 5 lbs I actually gained IN New York (thank you Max Brenner!). After seeing the horrifying number on the scale I rededicated myself to my running schedule. I found out this week that a couple of my sister-in-laws had the same feelings as I did. So, we decided to set up a blog to record our progress and such. The blog is http://www.jensenslimdown.blogspot.com/ . We are inviting anyone that wants to lose weight, eat better, and/or just be a healthier person to join. We are hoping with having to post a record of our success or struggles we will be more motivated to keep it up and finally lose our weight! So, go check it out and have some fun with us!!!
(You don't have to be a Jensen to join the Jensen Slim Down, really, ANYONE can join and we hope you do!)

Weekend.

My weekend was great. I got to do a lot of fun things, even some without kids! The first thing that was on the docket was Batman! Trent got free tickets from some networking guys, so we were able to go on Friday. And to make it even better they gave us free drinks and popcorn!
I LOVED the show, but mostly I LOVED the Joker. Heath Ledger was amazing. It makes me so sad that he is gone, because he really was awesome.
~
My next fun activity was the Farmers Market. The Jensen girls decided to give it a try and it was really fun. (We did miss Jenny who was having fun at youth conference.)

Can you tell who the in-law is? I guess I didn't get the memo about sunglasses.

We had some good food too. My favorite was the pulled pork sandwich. I may have to venture down there again just for another one. And don't ask me what Jamie is eating.

~

When I came home from the market we all went outside to weed.

The kids thought they needed gloves like there dad, so they wore their winter gloves.

The girls and I just watched.

~

On Sunday we celebrated Jamie's birthday with a delicious dinner. Nothing like a good meal and birthday party to finish off a great weekend. And to make my weekend more perfect, I was on call ALL weekend and I didn't have to do one visit. Perfect!

Worked too hard.

Earlier this week Trent took the boys to the Jensen cabin to put in a new faucet. Trent must have over worked the boys, because they returned home like this. They didn't even wake up when we got them ready for bed. Can't wait to see the boys' handiwork next time we are at the cabin!

I would wake up with the worst stiff neck if I ever slept like that. How are kids so rubbery?

Teeth!

Another step away from babyhood.

My girls have their first tooth coming in. We were trying to get a picture of the evidence, but it was hard to get them to smile, let alone at the same time. But I still thought ALL the pictures were cute. I only posted a few because I am sure you wouldn't find 20 pictures of the same pose as exciting as I do!

The girls kept eating dirt, bark, and leaves. Very frustrating to get a smiling shot when their mouths were full. Here is a good shot of Paige's tooth!

My sweet, sweet Morgan.
My funny, funny Paige!
~
I just LOVE these girls!

Afternoons...

A typical afternoon consists of hungry babies, ornery boys, and a happy girl.
While Oakley, Paige, and Morgan take naps, the boys have quiet time and watch a movie. They usually fall asleep too, which you would think would help their moods but it doesn't. I don't know which is worse, having ornery boys from no naps or having ornery boys after I have to wake them up. It's a toss up.
After Paige and Morgan wake up they get a HUGE bottle. I love when they look up at me at the same time. Mirror images. Well, almost.
Aiden and Andrew fell asleep during quiet time. I love how they snuggled up close to each other.
And this is the usual Oakley. She is always so happy when I walk into her room after naps. And yes, she is 2 and still doesn't have all her teeth. That's what you get when your body is the size of a 12 month old.
