A Hiking We Will Go

We had a free afternoon today so we decided we would take a hike. The kids were excited to pack some water and treats to keep up their energy level for this strenuous hike.

They did really well and there was no complaining. They are getting so big and old.

When we reached "the end" they continued their rock hung, which was going on the entire way up.

They found so many cool rocks with silver and gold in them. In fact, both of Morgan's pockets were chuck full.

We spent a few minutes enjoying each other and nature.

The kids were great with all the picture taking. Maybe they are finally getting used to it and realize it goes better if they just play along.

Loved looking down at all these cute little feet and hiking shoes.

And loved my view the entire hike.

And best pic of the trip?
Andrew photobombing me.
I don't know where he gets it.....

Gymnastic Show

The girls had their gymnastics show tonight. They all did a fabulous job and are really improving.
These two are just jokesters. Seriously hamming it up during the whole show. They are lucky they think they are funny because Mom and Dad weren't laughing.

Oakley is lucky to get to do gymnastics with one of her best friends Caroline. Yes, they are the same age. Actually only days apart.

So proud of these three and I don't think they could be any cuter.

Memorial Day Weekend

We headed up to the cabin for Memorial Day. It was fabulous and so beautiful. Wouldn't you agree?
We went on four wheeler rides.

Tried to fix some plumbing. Seriously this guy.

We did the dishes...or played in them.

We read books.

Collected bones.

Relaxed on the hammock.

Did sexy poses.
Played games, both electronic and old school.
Had allergies.

And when we got home crashed in whatever position we landed in.

Grandma Wiggles headed back to Star Valley this weekend. So we had to go see her off.

I had to post both pictures because this second one kills me.

Luke's BDay

Luke's Birthday fell perfectly on a Grandma Holly Night. So we hit up Luke's favorite Training Table and then REI, where he sat and hung out for a while.

Then we got dessert at Neilson's. I haven't been there in who knows how long. I actually couldn't remember if I even had ever really been. I got a plain vanilla custard and it was so dang good. Soft and smooth, just like I like.

We went back to pick up the kids and, of course, they had to play with Cade. All our kids just love him.

Running Camp

Team Bonk! is running Wasatch Back this year, so we are all training our butts off. Heidi comes up every week to run hills. She has to run part of The Ragnar, which is a killer hill. And sometimes we get Jamie and crew and Grandma Teri to come up as well. And Wednesday I always get to see Jill and Mason, so sometimes it is just a party.
This particular Wednesday was just such a day. Every came up. We had runners, van support, and babysitters.
It was a glorious day.

Lunch Dates

The Jensen girls get together for lunch often. Perhaps even weekly. Sometimes I even get to join in the fun. This time we hit up Marie Calendars. Weird choice? Who knows, but I do know the turkey bacon avocado croissant sandwich I had was delicious.

We make quite the group. And luckily 5 of our kids were at school. Could you imagine the elevated chaos with everyone included?

We have the most fun family home evenings around.

They sure are cute though, lined up in a row.

Rainy Weekend

It was a very rainy, but fun weekend. Friday night we went up to Ogden to get Trent's race packet. The kids always love the trains. However this year there were signs all over not to climb on them. That was not fun. Fortunately there was a bouncy house the kids played to make up for it.
They did break the rules a little bit and Oakley wanted her picture taken while doing so.

The next morning I was planning on getting up and going to the finish line to see Trent. But when I got up it was pouring. Once again not a good wife. I just didn't feel like standing in the rain for an hour...
We spent the weekend painting.

Andrew's is on the left, in case you couldn't tell.

The kids made a huge fort they were going to sleep in.
Andrew was so tired he forgot where the fort was.

But eventually found it.

And that was our weekend.

Trent's B Day

Trent's birthday was kind of sad. He deserved more from his wife. Especially because he is so awesome. He never stops working. Seriously. He's the best.
I had Relief Society on his birthday. And unfortunately I am in charge of the activities so I have to be there. It was a great activity. It would have been better if people actually came to the activities. A little frustrated with my calling right now. Lets just say it wasn't a good day for either of us.
Luckily while I was at RS, Kim and Luke took Trent to Crown Burger to celebrate. He is lucky he has them.

The next morning we really did celebrate. We went and saw the new Star Trek. I loved it.

Then we hit up Crown Burger again. You can't have too much of a good thing right?

Even though his actually birthday wasn't that great (besides dinner with Kim and Luke) I think the next day was pretty fun.

Mother's Day

I had a fabulous Mother's Day. It started with sleeping in until 8. Anyone that knows me knows that I love to sleep.

The Hoard was so excited to give me their gifts they made. Seriously, they were so cute.

Even Trent got me something. And he is the best at writing love notes too. Perfect wrapping for a gift.

Loved all the hand made gifts, the notes, the pictures, and cute Aiden even gave me 9 of his dollars. They really are great kids.

Trent made me breakfast.

Which was delicious.

And I got the royal treatment complete with foot rubs.
We did make it out to see our own wonderful moms as well. Unfortunately some one forgot to take any pictures. But we are pretty lucky to have 2 of the best moms around.
Happy Mothers Day to All!
