NFL Sunday Ticket

So, we got this sweet deal on Direct TV. We got all the premium channels and NFL Sunday ticket for nothing. Too good to be true? Nope. Trent was so excited and couldn't wait to get home from church so he could watch any football game he wanted and all the football he wanted. And that is what he did my friends:
He was so excited that he didn't even change out of his church clothes. I have a feeling this will be the scene at our house for the next few months.

~I HATE it when people leave their carts in the parking lot of stores. Seriously, I have 6 kids with me at times and I still put mine back in the cart holder.

~I can't seem to stay on top of things lately. I think I am at my limit and then another thing pops up.

~I had one of my fastest running times while in St. George last weekend. I ran 5 miles at 7:55 average pace. It nearly killed me, but I did it.

~I have started a diet again. I am honestly disgusted with this thing that is my body.

~If any one has a miracle potty training program and would like to come and get Morgan trained I would appreciate it. I don't have the time, energy, or knowledge to do it. She says she just wants to be a baby.

~When running one of my usual routes I saw an older lady from a distance pushing a stroller. My first thought was she was such a nice Grandma to be babysitting that early AND taking her grandchild on a walk. When I got closer I realized she had her dog in the stroller. What is the point of taking your dog on a walk if it doesn't walk?

~My boys are loving kindergarten and my girls love preschool. They are always so excited to go. And I am loving having half the kids around.

~I am still LOVING my new hair cut. It is the easiest cut I have ever had. I can even just leave it wet after the shower and it looks pretty good. Perfect for a lazy person like me.

~I just did the hardest thing ever-the 20 mile round trip hike to Havasupai Falls (post to come). It may have been the hardest thing, but it is awesome to say that I did it and the falls at the end make it worth it. Luckily I had a great masseuse to work out all the kinks the death march gave me.

~I am loving the ready to drink carnation instant breakfast drinks (milk chocolate no sugar added of course) these days. I crave it every morning.

~Trent and I still have 3 full seasons of TV shows on our TIVO that we haven't even started. Its sad that this week was already the premiers of the new seasons...

~I am lucky if my floors get mopped and my carpets get vacuumed once every 3 weeks.

~Luckily enough I am getting the bathrooms cleaned once a week (usually).

~I am on a new spending diet as well. I can't buy new clothes until I go down a size or 2. Incentive to lose weight AND save money. Although I had 2 vacations planned before this goal, so I did allow myself some spending money for the trips.

~I just fed 8 kids lunch. Not much else to say about that.

~I am doing this random post because I don't feel like going through pics and thinking of something semi witty to say. My posts are lacking these days. I think my energy is being channelled in every other way but blogs. Sorry, that means lack of comments from me as well.

Hopefully next up with be the amazing post on Havasu. Fun times and fun stories to share. Until then....

Our kids have the greatest Aunts around.

Really, they do.

However, there may be 1 or 2 of them that always end up hurting our kids during the course of their playtime together.

Well, last night was no exception. A certain Aunt (name emitted for privacy) came to visit and, of course, the kids went bananas because they love her. Morgan was having some fun ramming herself into said Aunt's body. Well, the target moved and Morgan ended up head first into the corner of the cupboard. And I am sorry to say that I couldn't stop laughing. It was like a part in a comedy when 2 people are fighting and the one moves so the other runs headfirst into something that knocks him out. Fortunately, Morgan did not get knocked out, but she was laid out flat on her back. And this was the result of the impact.
Poor girl. Luckily the Aunt was there to cuddle with her and make her feel better. And even though some Aunts are prone to hurting our children, we still love them and our kids can't get enough of them.

Our kids have the greatest Aunts around.
Really, they do.

The Girls Turn

The girls finally started Preschool. And they were so excited. And I loved the fact that I only had 3 kids in the morning to take care of. It was awesome.

Oakley was the lucky one that got to first. Unfortunately the sun was not in the right place, but oh well. Still super cute, even if I do say so myself.

And now "The Babies." That is what the older kids call them anyways . They couldn't wait to be big girls and go to school.

I for one am so glad for Preschool. It is right up there on the list of my favorite things.

Stick a Fork in Us...

...We're Done.

Our kids are wearing us out.
It may be time for some prescription drugs.
For the kids that is.

Jensen Field Trip

Yesterday we went to Trent (& Jill's) work to eat lunch. You see, Trent has this M&M machine and the kids ask everyday if they can go see dad at work so they can eat all his M&M's. So, I finally decided yesterday was as good a day as any to go. I packed 8 lunches, all individualized of course, buckled up 6 kids, and made the journey. It was actually a great outing, one we will be doing again in the future.
While we were eating lunch one of Trent's coworkers said, "That is a lot of Jensens."

Yes, my friend, it is. And we like it that way.

Trent and I decided to pack up the kids and jeep and head out camping for part of Labor Day weekend. We went out the door forgetting a few things, but managed to survive without them. We ended up camping in a place that you could only access with an off roading vehicle of some sort. It was pretty awesome to be stuck in the middle of nowhere by ourselves.
After we unpacked we went on a little drive. Trent didn't think the 3 hour ride to the campsite was enough. Trent loves to drive his jeep around and will take any excuse to do it.

And I had to include the pic of the muddy tires. That is the kids favorite part, driving through HUGE mud puddles.

And here are some random pics from around camp:
Andrew wanted me to take a picture of him on this stump.

Then of course the girls needed their picture taken as well.

And I love this shot.

This was the "lake" at the top of the road. It was more of a giant mud puddle, but seeing how the kids love mud they loved the lake.

Andrew made his own log cabin up there. This is "his room" where he sleeps.

And if the others would carry sticks to him, he allowed them to enter.

And here is the view from our campsite. If you enlarge it and look closely, you can see my cute fam across the lake.
It is always fun when you look back through the videos and pictures. You tend to forget the whining, fighting, annoyingness (I know that isn't a word), and work that goes into it. I am sure there will be many more camp outs to blog about and hopefully it gets easier with each one.

Fun Feet and Fun Eats

Yesterday I had a little mini HS Reunion with some of the old crew. Scharee and Sarah ended up being in town at the same time, so they put together an excellent outing that started out with a pedicure.
Sarah, Melissa, me, and Scharee. I think all of our toes turned out cute and it was nice to be pampered for a while!
We then got on to the fun eating. Of course, I voted for Firehouse Pizza.
Luckily Cecilie was able to join us for the food. As always, it was good and as always, fun to catch up with old friends.

Thanks for the fun afternoon girls! Until next time.

Swim Lessons

I finally got the boys into swim lessons the week before school started. They did fantastic. I just can't wait a year to sign them up again.
They had an awesome teacher and the best part was that there were only 3 boys in the class. And the other boy was afraid of the water so the boys got the teacher to themselves for most the time. Perfect.
And this is what us girls did while we waited for the boys.
