DI

I have been going through toys my kids never play with to give to the DI. And really that is a lot of toys because my kids don't play with any of them. I got this beauty out and set it on the DI pile. And what do you know? All my kids got it off the table and played with it for 30 mins straight! They have barely played with it for 30 mins total for the 2 years we have had it. Why are kids (or my kids) like that?

My kids are the same. I think they have a sense too, like they know something is missing (yes, I make DI runs when they are not around...because it ALWAYS causes drama!) They haven't touched something for a year, and then all of a sudden it's their favorite, only when it's in the pile to go out!!!! So now one of my favorite FHE's is going through our toys to give to a kid that doesn't have as many (in other words DI) then there is a lot less drama! The funniest though is that Libby confuses the words DI and dentist...how dare I take her favorite doll to the dentist! Too cute!

Amy,
I'm dying to see those kids! I miss them like crazy! I can't wait for you guys to come down. I don't have kids so I can't really bond with you on this topic, but hey they sure are cute. I liked being in Hawaii and seeing them daily. Maybe you should move to St. George.

Alli was the same way. She never played with any toys we bought her. It made Christmas shopping really hard!

How funny! You need to be introduced to the world of nickle auctioning. I'll tell you all about it if I see you soon.

ahhh...this is why we have so many dang toys at our house! we have started to be better about cycling our toys. we pull a few out and then after a few weeks put those away and pull out a few others. it is amazing what "new" toys do to spark the interest!

That is so funny. I find that happening at my house to. You just never know. I hear of people taking the time to rotate their toys puting some away for a while and then pulling them out with the others in hiding. I just don't have mental energy to keep up with all that. I'm glad they played with something for that long. That must have been nice for you. It's fun to watch kids engaged like that.
