I was traumatized growing up. With 3 brothers always teasing me I never knew what to expect next. There is a story told over and over at our house and the victim of the story, me. My oldest brother, Cade, wrecked on his bike coming down 18th south on his bike. He was banged up pretty bad and had a HUGE scab on his shoulder from sliding across the road. During a not so unusual Sunday afternoon, I went into my room and saw something on my pillow. Not being able to tell what it was I got a closer look and screamed! It was Cade's HUGE scab from his shoulder. It had fallen off and he thought it would be hilarious to tease me once again. It wasn't that funny to me, but the boys were laughing pretty hard. I guess maybe except for Jake. This Sunday happened to be one of the first times Becky was eating at our house. Who knows why she ever came back after that?
So, on to the post. The other day, Trent went to get the girls out of their cribs and Oakley followed him. The next thing I knew Oakley was coming over to show me something. It took me a second to realize what it was. Yep, Morgan's huge scab from her head. Yuck! Cade's "pillow mint" came flashing back to my mind. I did freak out a little bit when I saw it and I could hear Trent laughing. Apparently, he put Oakley up to it. He is just like my brothers...there's no escaping the torment...

GROSS!!!! I think I would freak. I was a little sick when I saw the picture. I can't believe Cade put it on your pillow. I would have been in counseling for a long time.
Ya, that's a little nasty!!
Eeeeeewwwwww!!! both stories, yuk, and yuk!
Reading your post I had flashbacks to my own brothers' torment!! Like going in my room just to fart or laying between my wall and my bed until I went to bed, then jump up and scare the pants off of me! Why oh why are boys this way????
BTW, that picture makes my stomach turn!
Oh gross! I guess you have your work cut out for you teaching Oakley that girls don't like things like that...well, I hope she doesn't like things like that! Oh, honestly I'm gagging!
So Nasty! Very funny story though!!
Really!? That is so gross!
that is absolutely disgusting! :)
Agreed...that is disgusting. I can't believe the whole scab fell off intact. I have some fond memories of your brothers especially Cade. Remember when he left us in the Albertson's or maybe it was Fred Meyer(?) parking lot and just got out of the car. Good times! :)
Epic

Looks like the bacon I had this mornring.
That is SO gross!! But really funny. I love that you made Oakley pose with the scab ~ that is totally something I would do ~ everything ends up on the blog!
OH NO! I noticed that her scab was missing... I am glad that it was found!!!
You should mail it to Cade!!! :)
Boys!!!
Oh my gosh...that is hilarious!!
Very well done to Trent and Cade. Kim is right, it does looks like bacon.
Yuk Yuk Yuk. Anything about scabs reminds me of my lovely first Sunday dinner at the Veigel house. Maybe I came back just to see what would happen next? Definitely different than my house, but hey, I've survived the Veigels for 11 years and counting! -Becky
i love the focus on that shot! very fun (the pic...not so much the scab or story)
NICE! That should go in one of those special display envelopes in her scrapbook. You know, the kind you use to display their first haircut. That is the awesomest scab! Way to go Morgan! I love how history repeats itself.
