Aunt Rauna's Cereal

Growing up we would always go up to Aunt Rauna's to mow her lawn, visit, play in her BIG tub, and, most often, eat cereal. It was always a treat because she bought the real cereal-not the malt-o-meal stuff we had to eat at home. Earlier this week I got a call from Aunt Rauna inviting us all up to enjoy that old tradition again. We went up yesterday and enjoyed a few bowls of cocoa puffs and cheerios. The kids had a great time playing together and eating bowl after bowl.
Most of the Veigel cousins were there (we missed the now New Yorkians) to enjoy the feast. The visit ended with a chance to raid her candy drawer. My kids really were in heaven. It is always fun at Aunt Rauna's. Thanks for having us!!!

Next up: The Big Tub...

Coco Puffs rule the world at our house. It seems that no matter what cereal is chosen for the first bowl, everyone has to have at least one bowl of Coco Puffs before they are done with breakfast. Amy, our kids are lucky they have one fun parent. I really appreciate all you do with them every day. It's about all I can take to help out from 5:00 to 9:00. You are amazing.

I'm with Trent, you really are a good mom. You're so good to take your hoard places so they get out and have fun experiences.

You ARE amazing!

FUN!! I LOVED doing that! All you need to do now is roll down the hills in the front yard and your visit to Aunt Rauna's is complete!

When I heard about this tradition, I was a bit confused...GOing to Aunt Rauna's for cereal?? Uh Ok?

It looks like you guys had fun and you and Emily are so nice to look after my chunk while I was gone.

P.S.
Luke had to go buy some Coco Puffs after being at your house. Apparently you guys make them look really good...

I even have experienced the cereal at Aunt Rauna's. I think it's the little things we miss the most when we're away from home! B

I didn't know Rauna was your family!!! Her hubby is related (distantly) to Scott. Plus, Rauna is in my ward and lives just a couple blocks up the hill from me. Very cool. I love Rauna. That is so cool! What a fun tradition.
