$5 a month naps....

Today I overheard a conversation Trent was having with his brother Jake. They talked about the typical things; running, food, and football. They started talking about watching the Utah games on TV and the Trent mentions the game is on versus today and we don’t have that channel in the cheap family plan from Direct TV. Trent then precedes to tell Jake it is only $5 more a month to get it and he really, really wants to watch the game. I think Jake said some kind of frugal response, because Trent said, “ya, it does add up after 12 months.” (Jake has always been the voice of reason for Trent (usually)). Well, the conversation with Jake ends and Trent starts trying to get through to Direct TV to order a new package, obviously not thinking about the frugality that Jake was trying to put into his life. I had to do a patient visit so I left in the midst of this and came home to find that Trent had successfully added Versus to our line up. I am so glad Trent is able to “watch” all the Utah games now.

(Ya, Trent slept through the whole game. He caught the last few plays, which he said were the most important anyway???)

Actually, my comments to Trent were not encouraging frugality. I said, "Oh, only $5 a month? That is a lot less than a ticket to a game."

Sorry to be a bad influence.

Is that a quilt on your ottoman/coffee table? I love it! Whatever it is!

Com'on Jake. I thought you were talking some sense into him. But I should have known if it involved Utah games no price would be too high for you two.

Kory and I were just laughing while we read this post! So funny! I am so glad Trent can now enjoy his games. Bull riding is on Versus too, Kory wants to get that channel so bad too. I am afraid I might come home one day to the exact same thing.

Doing anything- even returns-or even laundry....without kids is a wonderful break...love that you guys do a date night. That actually sounds like a great date!

laughed out loud. we justify it around here the same way (cheaper than a ticket) although for the blue, not red. we have actually upgraded just for the day and then go back down. even with the downgrade fee it is "cheaper than a ticket" glad he caught the end!

we are game any time you get your red shirts found. it would make a pretty funny christmas present for Lance, even though they aren't still in the presidency together.

thanks for the comment on the hair...it is still a work in progress to decide how i feel about it. i used to have really really long hair so i am still adjusting.

Did Trent just find out that the cereal stash was empty in this picture? That, undoubtedly, would result in him curled up in the fetal position. Is cookie crisp still your favorite?
