My Betty Crockerness!

My kids will only eat homemade jam. And who is to blame them? I can't stand the "store" made jam either. So, we were running a little low on strawberry jam and I wanted to get some made before the price of strawberries went up even more. I had Trent pick up some strawberries at Costco and I started the process yesterday morning. I had to make a quick trip in the middle of some batches to my mom's to get more peanut butter jars and Sure Jell. Thanks Mom! By the end of the day I had made 6 batches and ended up with 16 1/2 jars of jam. Can't wait to make some PB & J's!!!

Legit Amy you just do it all! I'm so impressed! My mom spolied me with homemade jam as well, I can NOT stand anything but homemade jam now! Sounds like your kiddos will be the same way.

Hey, so I stalk you all over Bountiful and now I am on your blog. I just got an email from Tavan about my blog, so I have sent you the invite...would love to have you check it out although it won't likely be nearly as exciting as yours!!

How do you get it to seal in a peanut butter jar? Sounds very yummy! Love your apron too.
Please let me know how it seals. I hate throwing away my jars but don't know of a use for them.

Your girls' blessings photos are just adorable....and those are the cutest little bracelets.

Good job! I've never made jam, and I don't know if I ever will.

Look delicious. We'll trade some raspberry for some of that strawberry. we have no more strawberry.

Did you use picasa for this picture?

Peanut butter jars... what a great idea for freezer jam! I made over 30 pint jars of apricot jam this summer... I think we'll be swimming in it this winter. ;)

Whew. I was really beginning to worry that you didn't have enough on your plate and were going to end up bored or something. I'm so relieved you found some way to spend your ample time and energy making six batches of jam.

Nice work! Very impressive. Your kids must be really patient, or covered in jam while they jump all over you

Amy~ I'm a friend of Sarah Stewarts and I had a question about your Jam. Do you freeze your jam in the Peanut butter jars? We use canning jars and have to seal them but Peanut butter jars look like a great idea. Also, could I get your recipe? We make pear and apple butter but haven't tried strawberries...Yet. Thanks!
Oh, you have the cutest family! You look like you are always having so much fun!!!
Our Blog is on Sarah's site...The Madden Family or you could email me at ljmaddens@hotmail.com. Thanks again! Enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday!!
