So, Here is My Problem,

I love watches. They are like my jewelry. I switch em' up for the different outfits I wear. Unfortunately, 6 of them are dead and need new batteries. 6! Actually, I should say 10 seeing how one of them is the kind you switch with different bands. That is more than half of my jewelry gone, just like that. Plus, in the mix of the 'not working' watches are 2 of my favorites. It makes me sad everytime I reach for them in the pile and I remember they are not working. So, whats the problem you say? Well, for 10 bucks a pop I can get the batteries replaced, bringing the total to $60. That is a little much for 6 tiny batteries. I feel like joining Seinfield's parents and pulling a fast one and stealing some. To quote Seinfield, "nobody pays for everything." and "they just wear out so fast." But really, the reason for this not important post is that I want to know if anyone knows of a cheaper place to get your watch batteries replaced. I would so like to wear my big chunky black watch again. We miss each other.

Quinn is obsessed with watches too. Funny. Were did you got to get the battery changed? I took a watch to Wal-Mart one time and it was like 3bucks. It may have gone up though. Don't know of anywhere else.

I love your watch collection.I am having that same problem right now too. In the past I have just gone and bought a new watch, but I can't really do that anymore. Let me know when you go get them fixed and I'll go with you...that is, if you want.

OH, I love watches too. I think Target replaces them for 3 bucks too, BUT the watch has to be from target...if not then it's more. I say just get 2 new watches, my new faves are the ones with changeable beaded bands, I have two, and they are so cute and fun. my bands were $15 each, and the face was $10 so you could get a lot of new fun for $60, or less! Although, some of those watches ARE WAY cute...um, so sorry I am NO help.

I say, replace the battery in the big chunky black one first, then once a month change another one. That way you'll have a "new" watch to wear every month, but it won't seem like such a huge amount of money. :)

I wish I knew. I had a watch I loved and the battery died 4 years ago so that was the last time I wore one. Lame I know. Post about it if you find a place that's cheap.

Sorry, no suggestions here, but they're awfully cute!

Amy - I sometimes check your blog and have a solution for the watch batteries. There is a jewelry store in the Sandy Mall, 9400 South and 700 East, that sells the batteries for I think 1.99. It is great. I have been there several times. Good luck - may you can stop there when you visit the Jensens.

I had always been a huge watch person...until the whole battery thing got the best of me and my cell served the purpose of telling time. but, I do know you can buy the batteries for not too much and do the swapping yourself. usually it isn't hard at all!

Yes, the big chunky black watch is definitely a fashion accessory worth rescuing. You poor thing. That is a bummer. I quit wearing jewelry alltogether but the ladies the wear jewelry are definitely cuter. You better at least fix the chunky one.
