Starting Over

I am getting more and more depressed AND more and more chubby since I haven't been able to run for the past 2 months. I feel and look yucky. And its driving me crazy. So, yesterday, after swimming with all the skinny Johnson relatives the night before, I finally decided I had to do something. Running is NOT the only form of exercise out there. However, I still believe it is the fastest way to get in shape. Anyways, I got all the kids ready, loaded them up, and set out up the hill. And let me tell you....pushing 5 kids up the hills by my house IS definitely a workout!
I am impressed with this picture that you can see everyone of my kid's faces. The timer is a magical thing. I am so thankful we bought this stroller right after Paige and Morgan were born. We have definitely gotten our moneys worth!

So, on to the next part of my post. I need help keeping myself on track to lose the weight I have gained back and to still lose the last 15 lbs that just won't come off. Some of you may remember the blog Fat Girls No Mo'. Well, I have deleted off all of our old goals and changed it up a little. I am inviting anyone that wants to join me in the FGNM challenge. You don't have to be fat or chubby like yours truly, but if you just want to get motivated to exercise and eat healthier please join! Those that are serious about losing weight/inches will be measuring our bodies, our weight, and taking a picture. I know that sounds horrifying, but I think it is the most motivating when you see yourself and measurements. It helps me anyways. So please let me know if you would like to participate and we can work on each persons new goals and getting everything set up. I am excited to get back into shape again so I can fit into my new jeans I bought at the end of last winter. It is sad that they don't fit me right now!!! :(

OK, first of all you DO NOT "look yucky"!!! You look darling and don't compare yourself to anyone else! BUT I know exactly how yo feel. I'm in the middle of trying to lose 15 lbs., however I would LOVE 20 lbs. So far after a pretty strict diet and 3 1/2 weeks later I've lost 5 lbs. I guess that's pretty good, but it is so SLOW!! Why does it have to be so HARD!!

ps Bill has lost 7 lbs. so far and isn't as strict on the diet as I am. NOT fair.

I am really impressed!!!! All those kids in the stroller up your hill. Didn't that alone drop those last few unwanted pounds?? Give me a few months and I will be joining your campagin to lose some weight. Maybe by the end of Febuary I will get the clear to join the program. We should look into a boot camp to do. Until I will sit on the sidelines and cheer you on.
GO AMY, GO AMY

I'm with Heidi - I bet you lost 15 lbs. pushing your five kids up hills. Honestly, I sweat like a pig when I push my 2 kids up a hill. You're a rock star. And, I have heard that walking is actually a really good way to lose weight.

I also agree with everyone else. You think you look so chubby and we all think you look great. I mean that.

Good luck with your new program.

Amy, I'd love to join your challenge. I've got my own fitness blog that I post on, but I'll join along with you, too, if that's okay. :) Also, if you're chubby, I don't even want to think about what I am!

okay...that stroller scares me just looking at it! Good thing your kids are so tiny, but still! I have some great spinach salad recipes from when I used to do a weekly exercise/fitness day with friends. I'll email them to you if you want. Good luck!

We're trying SO hard to be healthier at my house. Okay, it's been on-going for a couple years. My husband buts on the pounds more easily than I do, but things are starting to shift on me and I could seriously use some motivation and inspiration! Count me in!

And I LOVE that stroller! I think it's fantastic!

I can NOT even believe you think you are chubby. You seriously look so buff and cute! I am going to have to seriously consider joining your challenge. Heavens knows I need to but I can never seem to commit to excercising...

P.S. Thanks for the paint info ~ its perfect! I went and got the samples yesterday :)

I don't know what you're talking about. I thought you looked great when I saw you on Monday night. And I'm tired just thinking of pushing all the kids up all the hills by your house. I just about kill over pushing Annie around Sugar House.

I'm trying to decide if I want in on your plan. I want to make sure that I'm really going to do it. Let me think about it for a day and then get back to you.

Sheesh, I couldn't even push that stroller on flat ground! I need to start eating better. The other night I ran nine miles, got home at 11pm. Ate a hot dog and a doughnut...seriously, I need help!!! :)

I'm seriously getting annoyed that my tiny little cousin thinks she's "chubby" you're a goddess. It just makes me feel fat when you think you're fat. You're in great shape. Did you not see the pic you just posted of yourself?

good luck with your endeavors, it's good to have support of others when you want to do something hard, but believe me when I say, honestly, that you don't need to lose even a pound.

Ok count me in too! I'm always reluctant to start something like this because I'm afraid I won't keep with it. But I've started walking every morning with a neighbor and I think I really need to get going. If for no other reason than to feel better even if I don't lose any weight. :)

I think you look great Amy, but it's important to also feel great about yourself so with that being said, call me up any time and I will go hit the gym with you or do some hill walking.

oh and P.S.

I love your top and this picture makes me laugh. What's with Andrew and squinting??? SO cute!
