Labor Races

We had a good Holiday weekend. Trent decided that one race wasn't enough. He did the Spanish Fork Half Marathon on Saturday morning. He did really well and got a PR of 121:48 and second place overall. I was a little jealous because this was the half I was going to train for until I hurt my knee. Ah, the body. Why can't it work perfectly all the time?

Then seeing how we weren't going anyway he signed up for the sprint triathlon at the rec center. He did awesome, he placed 4th and finished with a time of 57:46! Yes, he is a machine.
The girls and I were able to watch him finish the triathlon Monday morning. It was fun to see him cross the finish line and the girls were so excited. I also got to see my old friend Jenny B from the glorious softball days, which was an added bonus!

Trent really is a machine. I'm jealous his body can hold up so well...so sorry that your knee is still hurting. I knew he'd jump into more tri's, quite an improvement. Ironman. Ironman. Ironman.

For the record the swim was only 400 meters and the bike was 10 miles. Not a full sprint. That's why the apparent fast time.
