The Skinny...Part 2

All right everyone. I really wasn't expecting to get so many comments on my skinny jeans. A lot of you requested more pics before you could make a proper decision. So here you are, the jeans with the boots and, scarily enough, a shot of my backside. Don't judge the bum to harshly...its a work in progress...
I, for one, love the pants with my boots. I think the tags will be coming off soon...
And to answer some questions: the boots and the pants came from Ross. And actually, come to think of it, I think the shirt did too.

You look great; both front and back--not like someone who gave birth to 5 kids!!!

Dang girl! You look hot! I'm sticking with my previous comment by saying you should keep the pants.

Ok, who are these people that detest skinny jeans so much? I would agree that if you were, shall we say, larger I would vote no for sure on the jeans. That being said, you look absolutely fabulous in these jeans and you should show it off!

BTW, I loved the look from the knee to ankle. Whoever said they didn't is crazy!! Sorry if I'm offending, but get with it people!

And to you Trent, I say your wife looks absolutely fabulous in these jeans and you should enjoy it! AND I take offense to your comment that women aren't honest about these things. Only catty women are that way, and Amy would not associate with that type of female! If I didn't like them I would have told her so! You want to hear some honesty???? I don't like your comments in the previous blog!! And you could do with a little style boost yourself! That being said, I love ya, Trent!!

Amy, KEEP the jeans. You have two pairs of great boots that you will love wearing these with!

Wow - I am still getting over all the emotion in the comments people left you. I think you look way cute in them. I have never been a fan of "skinny" jeans on myself but there are certainly people who can get away with it. Those jeans are cute love the back pockets...you can pull it off so go with it!

I think your skinny jeans make you look great! Take the tags off already!!! And seriously you do what you think and makes you happy, nobody should tell you what to do!

I think Alyssa said it best, "...nobody should tell you what to do!" Including society. There is a reason you are so insecure with this outfit and are asking everyone's opinion in this open forum. It is because you are not confident wearing them without the reassurance of other fad followers. Just because other people are wearing things like that doesn't make it cute.

I guess if you are trying to attract other women then by all means strut your stuff. I know you have lost weight and are looking really good, but that outfit is not flattering. I don't care what the fads are or what Poeple magazine says is in style, you look like an elf. Say hi to Santa Clause for me.

I've really never been a fan of skinny jeans or boots over the jeans for that matter (at least I couldn't pull it off). I can't understand how anyone could be comfortable in jeans that are like that. Mostly because I wouldn't be comfortable, I gotta give my ankles some breathing room. Kinda reminds me of tight rolling.
That being said. I think that you do look great in the outfit (from the pictures you wouldn't guess that they were size 11). They also don't look as tight to me as most skinny jeans do (again could just be the picture).
My completely honest opinion... Do what you want. I think there are people in this world who can pull things like that off (though I'm not one of them) and as long as you like it who cares what others think.
There's definately a reason that there's so many styles of dress to choose from these days. Not everyone looks great in everything. Good luck with your decision!

I think they are cute, the whole outfit looks really good together!! Go ahead and take the tags off. I've been looking for some boots like that too....never kind find some in my stinking size...hate having small feet sometimes!

I agree that you should do what you want. If you feel good in them, you should keep them. If you feel uncomfortable, you shouldn't. I honestly think the outfit looks so cute on you, but I like fashion and I think it's fashionable. Maybe you just shouldn't wear them around Trent. He's clearly not into the look or the idea of the look itself. There are some things I wear that Bri just doesn't get either, but that's ok. Some things he likes aren't my thing either. I think girls dress more for girls anyway. They're the ones that care the most about fashion (and guys that know and care too much about fashion should be avoided - this is not directed at you, Trent, but more at the extreme metros).

And, I agree with Maga - you look great front and back. No one would ever know you had 5 kids including 2 sets of twins.

Good luck. Thanks for providing the blogging controversy of the week. xoxo

Holy crap - this is like a serious debate!!

I have personally never liked the skinny jeans - probably because Kurtis always tells me the same things Trent says. Even skinny girls look terrible in them and make their butts and hips look huge.

HOWEVER, I totally agree with you on the boot thing. I think they are necessary with the tall boots you wear over your jeans, and in my mind, that then balances everything out because you can't tell the bottoms are skinny. I say keep them. But, I personlly think they are "boots only" jeans. :)

Wow! All the drama, reminds me of the good old days when I lived at your house. I like them, I think the boots with them are cute and fun for winter. Especially when it's wet outside, I hate getting my pants wet, so I like them. I also think that it helps that they aren't the painted on, tight look.

Trent, you make me laugh. I guess Amy will never be left wondering what you really think.

OK, I read this post yesterday, AND all of the comments...whew. I wanted some time to think things over...SO, this is what I came up with...Amy you are beautiful...you would be beautiful if you wore a paper bag, that being said, we all have things in our closets that make us feel better (or look better) than other things, so I guess on that aspect I'm agreeing with Trent, if you need the reaasurance of others...no matter what they say, I think you will feel self concious every time you wear them. You look amazing, and to have had 5 babies...not fair, I'm just saying, don't follow the fad just for the sake of the fad...if you like them, and you like how you feel in them, then go for it. Hope that makes sense.

oops, finished too soon..if you have to question everytime you wear them though...don't waste your money...or just use the money for some jeans you LOVE...from the dressing room forward.

Hey Amy - You are so cute & I love your daring at taking a picture of the backside! :) But you look great, you really do. I just want to tell you I think those jeans look fantastic on you. Especially w/ the boots. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on skinny jeans because they're not my fav style, either, but judging that you probably got a deal at wonderful Ross (love it) and that you bought them mainly to wear with boots, I say go for it, sista.

You're so stinkin' cute you can totally pull it off!

I can't stand the way tight jeans feel on me. But they look good on you. Ross is working well for you! Cute!

I'M KIDDING, AMY, you look cute. I love your pants!!! And I'm not just saying that to be nice. They're stylin!!
Your husband is mean. If I were lesbian, I'd tap that...
