Finishing My YW Camp Scrapbook & a Room To Do It In

For some reason I like to make scrapbooks for the girls camps that I have gone to as a leader. This was only my 3rd one (and maybe the last), and it was almost the death of me...and my craft room. I am not one of those organized scrapbookers, so I am so thankful to have a room where I can leave my 'work' out. Trent would substitute the word mess for work, but that's the beauty of MY room-it can be messy. So, this gratitude post has 2 parts. 1-I am so grateful to be DONE with this book. It has taken me over 2 months to do. I just don't have a lot of spare time to sit and scrapbook. And 2-I am grateful to have my very own craft room to do all my projects in, which is one of the main reasons I fell in love with my house.
However, since I finished the book today that means I have to clean the above mess tomorrow. Bummer.

I love that you work like I do. Except the mess for me would be in the kitchen. On every available surface.

You are so ambitious! I'm sorry to say that I hate scrapbooking! I am not creative enough.

It's ok for you to work on organizing your scrapbooks, but don't give up your blogging!!!!

Ahhh remember how fun it was last year putting together the camp scrapbook and watching a chick flick? Good times.

No just keep the mess and start a different scrapbook. That way you never have to clean it up.

That's awesome. I love it! I am the exact same type of scrapbooker - the whole room I'm working in becomes a horrid mess. And the work vs. mess semantic comes up in my house too. So fun, Ames. I'm glad you got it done and I'm SO GLAD you have your very own room. It's like that ultra-good, pro-female book, "A Room of One's Own" where it talks about how if women were treated like men in the old days, Shakespeare would be a woman (basically that's what it's about) and that all we really need is our own space and some money and we can do amazing things. Nice!
