Sadness

My cribs are gone. And I am kind of feeling sad. This is the first time since Paige and Morgan, my last babies, were born that I have had a sad feeling about being done. Not sad enough to do it all over again, but my heart broke just a little bit. You see, I searched all over to find the perfect Nursery set. I finally found the perfect ones at Pottery Barn and I justified the price because of all the work and time it took us to even get pregnant. And they were the perfect cribs for our 5 years of baby time. Just 5 years. Imagine that. I thought I would have them for at least 10. Its amazing how life works out.
When the last crib left on Wednesday I almost cried. Almost. And now they have new homes, good homes. Luckily, people I love have adopted them. And I did ask if I could have visitation rights. Maybe in the next month or so I will have to pay my friend a visit. But for now I can focus on getting all 3 girls in their new rooms and making them cute. That will take my mind off the sadness.
My Hoard is growing up.
If only we were done with diapers too. I will not even think about shedding a tear over that.

Funny how some "motherhood moments" catch you off-guard. I am always surprised to miss the little things like this! But, this is a step in the direction of no diapers, so at least you have something to look forward to! B

Whoa. I can't believe Paige and Morgan are that big already!

I must say that you have the BEST taste Amy. I LOVE your home decor. It's clean and simple and perfect for your family's lifestyle. I'm sure they girls will have a lovely room.

That really is sad. They are growing up so fast. Saying goodbye to cribs is a big deal. Glad they found a nice home. :)

Now, diapers - I'm sure there will be big "hallelujah"s when that phase is done.

Can't wait to see the new girls room!

It is pretty bitter sweet isn't it!

Sorry you're feeling sad. I would even get sad as we would put the mattress down a level in the crib as our babies would get older! Just think, you can get the cribs back for your grandkids--it'll be here before you know it!

Aww that is a sad mommy moment. You have had a whirlwind of motherhood. But your last diaper change will be a day of celebration! Think of all that extra money you'll have from not buying diapers....:)

Not only do you have visitation rights... but the new owners will feel very neglected if you do not pay a visit.

Thanks for the fall-out! It has always been great being the younger brother!!!

Wow, I know this will be a SAD moment for me too...your feelings are totally justified! Excited to see what you do in their room next! Man, that 5 years went by fast!

So cute! I love the new beds and the "Big Girl" bedrooms. It is super weird to think that you are completely done with the "crib stage". Man, how fast time flies. I'm glad you found good homes for your darling cribs. They will be put to good use.

I agree that those cribs were just perfect. They had a good life with you Jensens and I'm sure they'll continue to be treated well. I can hardly believe that your babies are now in big girl beds. It seems like it was just yesterday that they were tiny little babies. And now the whole potty training thing...ugh! Bless your heart Amy.

I needed to hear that post because I feel like I am right in the thick of things with my twins and my others. So it's nice to be reminded that goes by fast.
I can't wait to see what you with the room.

That is kind of sad. I remember when you had just bought those cribs and I saw them at Sara's shower at your old house (right before your boys arrived). That seems SO long ago but still has gone by so quickly!

Ok I am sad for you. I totally dread that day, maybe I am too attached to babies. Loved those cribs, whoever got them made out! It is crazy to think you are out of the baby stage...time really does go by too fast!

Yes, I felt the same way when I packaged up the crib. But I keep having this shred of hope that I MIGHT get to use it again. The day I adopt the crib out to another family will be the real day for me. Here's to the future for your hoard and my uno. I can't believe you've made it this far.
