You Sucka'

We were watching Oakley's friend for a minute, so I thought I should do something fun. You see, I want all my kid's friends to want to hang out at our house. Doesn't every parent? So, I decided to try making chocolate Easter suckers. There was a kit at Walmart with ALL the supplies. Pretty easy, but the chocolate didn't go very far.
I have a ton of these pics on my blog. They are all starting to look the same. You can just tell that we love our island. Our poor table never gets used.
The kids were waiting anxiously for the chocolates to harden. It took a while.

I thought the girls looked so cute with their girly suckers. The flowers were my favorite too.

Everyone enjoyed their suckers. Even Morgan....I just took the picture at the wrong second I guess. The kids loved their first Easter activity, now on to the dying of the eggs...

Mmmmm Easter goodies! My mom used to make chocolate suckers ALL the time...I might have to go out and buy myself the supplies now too! And, as always, your kids look darling. I can barely get one ready for the day, I have no idea how you do it with all five! :)

I like when you post the daily activities. It makes me feel little more connected when I get home.

The kids are lucky to have you. I'm a dad like Toby McGuire was in Brothers after he returns from Afganistan. Only I wasn't in Afganistan so I don't have an excuse.

Ha! Ha! Trent's comment is so funny! I haven't seen that movie, but I can totally picture what he's talking about.

I love your new blog template!

And that activity looks so fun! I'm wondering if I should try it with Annie? Would it be a disaster? And how do you color Easter eggs w/out making a mess? I'd also like to do that with Annie but the dye scares me to death.

How do you get all these cute ideas? Man I wish I could be more creative like you. You need to spread the creativity around. We're gonna do eggs next week sometime. Have fun with that.

That is so cool they have kits to make suckers. I have always wanted to make chocolate suckers but never had the stuff, now I don't have an excuse. What a fun Mom, you are brave to try things with that many little ones I hesitate with just three.

BTW- Yes, I did make Madison's cake, I think the M&M's running down the side gave it away. Oh well, it's about as creative as I get.

Oliver is lucky to have a Surrogate mom like you. Thanks for including him even though it's probably more work than anything.

What a fun project! I love all the colors too ~ very impressive. The best photo is the one of all the kids watching the chocolate harden. You should have told them it takes a few hours to see if they stayed around that long.

And Oakley is starting to change so much from a toddler to a little girl. SHe looks so old in these pics for some reason!
