#1

Since my Tired post I have been trying to focus on the good in my life, which is abundant. It doesn't always work, but I am getting better at it. I thought about how to make myself look at each day in a positive light and what better way to do it than a gratitude journal. And since my blog is my journal you all get to see what I am thankful for. My goal is to do it every day in November and, hopefully, continue it on. So without further ado here is my Thank You for day 1.

A quiet afternoon/evening.

Trent is helping his dad with some theater type stuff and they needed to go "shopping" today. Grandma Teri was so nice to offer to take the kids so I wouldn't have to have them while the boys were out and about. It was heavenly. I took a nap (which I am triply grateful for, we were up every hour last night with one child or another), I went on a run (which killed me), I ate a quiet dinner by myself (which consisted of a bowl of cereal and Cheezits), took a hot bath (which was lovely), and finished reading "Little Bee" (which I didn't love). I wouldn't want this everyday, but every once in a while a quiet afternoon to ones self is needed. A BIG thanks to Teri for watching The Hoard and for Trent for having them part of the time as well. I had a great time by myself and couldn't ask for a better way to start my thankful days!

I love this idea!! I might have to copy you and do it too! And congrats on your lovely evening at home all by yourself! It sounds wonderful! Ryan is gone for a conference for work for a few days, and I'm so lame but I was thinking, man, no fair! He gets to be all alone in his hotel room every night doing whatever he wants! LOL

You really messed up dinner though! I mean, cheezits and cereal for dinner? Yuck! I'm glad you had a nice quiet time. The bath and run would've been the highlights for me. Wonderful! I know what you mean, this moment to yourself is only beautiful because you have the hoard. If you were alone like this always life would feel pretty dull.
