Hail of a Run

Kim and I went running this am. When I was driving to Kim's the weather was fantastic. Shortly after we started out it started to hail. It actually really hurt and it was hard to see.

After a mile it turned to  snow, which was just as difficult to see in and we quickly became covered in snow.

We even conquered Val Verda, which I have officially named The Beast.

Loved looking back and seeing our footprints in the freshly fallen snow.

Soon it became too snowy to see our footprints or even my watch. The snow started sticking to everything.

But 6 miles later we made it home.
We were freezing and soaked, but we made it.

The best part of the run is the recovery. I took off my soaking wet clothes, grabbed a protein drink, and soaked in a nice hot bath. It took a good 30 minutes to get the chill from my bones, but it was so nice.

Such a good, hard run. Loved it.

One of my fastest runs ever was in hail... it hurt so bad that I just wanted to get home. ;) I am jealous of your snow run... I love looking back at the footprints too.

Did we do Val Verda? I can't remember.
