More Random

I have been trying really hard to get my running in and improving as well. My favorite part of any run? The recovery drink. I'm addicted.

Oakley has developed some natural curl. What I wouldn't give to have her hair. She is one lucky girl.

The girls and I continue to hang out. We hit up Target and grabbed some lunch there. It wasn't good.

We hit up Trent's cousin Mady and Preston's wedding. It was the cutest thing ever. The dessert was smores and floats. Of course I couldn't believe this plate full of melted Hershey bars. Seriously one of my all time favorite treats.

After the reception we hit up Wing Coop for some real food. Not the perfect place for a large group, but we made it work.

The next day we got to celebrate this guy's 1st birthday. Jill had the cutest decorations and desserts.

Now how is that for random?

A Not So Lonley Grandma Night.

This week I got to enjoy Trent's company on Grandma night. It was a different night so Trent didn't have scouts getting in the way. We hit up our favorite Crown Burger and then Home Depot to look for color bowls for our back door.

It was a fabulous night.

Face Lift

After getting our new window and door we had to get a new backsplash. Part of it was broken in the process and, lets face it, it was pretty darn ugly. So we picked out some tile and called our go to tile guy. He started and finished the process in 3 days. So nice having a project done fast and perfectly.

I will post a final picture when Trent is done putting up all the trim. It really does look amazing.

Morgan's Tooth

Morgan lost her first tooth. She was so excited to have a loose one. It got so loose that it was practically hanging by a string. Trent tried to grab it but Morgan wouldn't have it.

Seriously it was so close.

And then all of a sudden Morgan pulled it out. She was so proud of herself.

And she loved that the Tooth Fairy found her that night.
And don't pay any attention to the fact that she is wearing the same thing as the day before.

Sunday Visit

We went out and saw Maga and Papa Sunday afternoon. Always good to visit with them and the kids always love to play by the river.

Luke's Graduation

Luke graduated. And he invited us all to come celebrate with him. Jill was nice enough to watch The Hoard for me and before I even left she had them playing games. She is awesome.

We arrived and found our seats. We could tell early on that we were in for a treat.

So we passed time taking funny pictures and pretending to be bored. Well, we weren't pretending really.

It was so boring some of us were reading the scriptures. Now that's saying something.

We were finally able to get out and really congratulate Luke.

And of course Luke is never serious.

And a big shout out to Kimmy who had to have a husband in school for 8 + years. She deserves to celebrate as well!

We hit up Rodizio Grill to really celebrate.

And I was so looking forward to trying some of their Winter Wonderland and come to find out they don't make it anymore. I explained to Leo that he should make sure they take down that billboard in Salt Lake then because it is false advertising. And wouldn't you know he had some Winter Wonderland made especially for me.

It was a fantastic night of celebrating and so happy for Luke to finally be done with school!

Kim's B Day Surprise

Kim was turning the big 30 this year and didn't have that much planned to celebrate. So I had the fantastic idea to surprise her with dinner with some of our favorite people. It was a last minute thing, but most everyone was able to come. Kim had  no clue others would be joining us for dinner. It was a great surprise.

Not only did they come celebrate, but they came with gifts. These really are the nicest ladies.

Love this book group of ours.

And, no, Kim and I did not plan our outfits.

After dinner Kim, Ginger, and I hit up Nordstroms for some shopping. .There was a discussion about creepy manikins over dinner so I had to snag a shot of this one.

We had a great time browsing the over priced merchandise, but did end up coming away with a few treasures.

Grandma and Girls

Since Paige and Morgan are only in Kindergarten they get to hang out with me. Which means they get to visit Grandma Wiggles with me. My poor grandma broke her hip and has been in rehab. We went down and saw her. I think she remembered who I was...

Later that day we celebrated Paige and Morgan's summer birthdays in school. They picked the treat of oreos and chocolate milk. Who doesn't love chocolate?

Lonely Grandma Night

I had such a lonely Grandma Night. People had plans or didn't want to hang out with me. I was a little depressed so I though I would paint the town red by myself.

I just scored some extra cash from selling The Hoard's old clothes to Kid to Kid. Love that place.

So naturally I went to the finest of establishments to blow my large amount of cash. Ross and TJ Maxx is where its at. Came away with some great finds, but missed having my opinions givers with me. I hit up Rumbi on the way home and dine while watching HGTV, which is another one of my favorite things.
All in all it was a great night, but I would much rather be with my people.

While Our Babysitters Were Out

We got to watch Oliver for a weekend while Luke and Kim headed down south for sunshine and relaxation. We aren't as fun as they are. But the weather was good which meant the girls could finally paint their toenails.

You see I only let them do this outside.
And the boys played kick ball.

Saturday, of course, was filled with soccer. The boys, Oakley, and Oliver all had games. Luckily all at different times so it worked out perfectly.

We spent time jumping on the tramp.

And the kid's favorite is getting bounced.

We got bikes, trikes, scooters, and big wheels out.

And enjoyed an outdoor "picnic."

Sunday we took a leisurely walk around the neighborhood.

Complete with a treat reward for finishing.

Oliver spent every evening like this. I think we wore him out.

And Trent played his new favorite game.

And there you have it. Another weekend in the life of The Hoard.

Seven is Heaven

Oakley turned 7 this year. Still can't believe it. She was so excited for her birthday. And she got a special surprise when she woke up. Kim left her balloons and a gift. Oakley is lucky to have a 2nd mom like Kim.

That night we had the Veigel's up to celebrate. We started the night with Café Rio, which was chaos at the kids table and I had a hard time ordering. Forgot multiple things and had to go back a couple times to get things right. But it was delicious and the kids had fun. We finished the night off with floats and presents.
The next night Oakley had a late night with friends. They hit up Pizza Pie Café, where we spent a lot of money for each girl to have 2 bites of food. Buffets are a total rip off with kids. But they still had fun.

Then the late night began. Oakley opened her gifts. She loved every single one and her friends are always so nice to her.

Then they watched a movie complete with popcorn.

Oakley had a blast and loved being the center of attention.
