Snow...

Trent had to go into work way too early yesterday, but that meant he got home a little earlier too. He decided to take the kids outside to play and take advantage of being home before it got dark. The boys stayed outside for such a long time. They absolutely love the snow. Oakley....not so much. I guess she would like it better if she had snow pants like the boys to keep her warm.

My favorite picture is the bottom left. He crashed at the bottom of the hill and thought it was pretty funny. We call him George Costanza in the bottom right picture.
Andrew's face cracks me up in his sledding picture. He screamed with happiness the whole way down! And I love him just chillin' in the snow with no cares in the top left pic.

And what can I say about my cute Oakley. She looked so tiny on the sled. She only went down twice. Once because she didn't know what it would be like and second....because I made her go down so I could get a picture. Poor girl. And I love the boy look she is sportin' with her hand-me-down coat. It goes perfectly with her cute beanie!
Paige and Morgan were snug in their beds taking a nap during this outing. One of these days I will take them out and let them experience snow. I am just too lazy to bundle up 5 kids for 5 minutes of play. At least the boys stay out longer now. It makes the 20 minutes of getting their snow clothes on worth it.

I love how you put all these pictures together! Super cute. Your kids are so much fun and that Oakley of yours is the tiniest cuttest button i've ever seen.

Looks like fun! Awesome that you have a sledding hill right in your backyard! We had one of those growing up and always had so much fun!

So cute!! I don't think Oakley looks like a boy with her coat. Maybe an investment in ssome snow pants for the girl. I could get a donation pool going. Those little legs are going to frezzzzzzzzze!!Way cute.
PS..Love the Christmas card.

Ummmm... I hope you were being serious about sledding with your boys! I would honestly love that! In fact I'm GOING to make time for that while I'm up there! I can NOT wait to see your kiddies next week! Oh how I miss them! They all look so stikin cute in their pictures!

I thought of your cute family when the snow started falling the other day. I thought, "if I were a fun and good mom like Amy, I would bundle up my girls and go play in the snow." But, it turns out that I'm not a cute mom like you and I stayed inside.

Love the pictures.

You got such good pictures of your kids! They look like they would be pictures from a magazine. Aiden kills me being George, how funny is that! And Andrew's faces kill me both the bored one and the super excited one, so cute!

Sorry for those that have already commented, but my favorite part of this activity is not shown in the pictures. Just out of view at the bottom of the hill is a railroad tie wall. When I would send the kids racing down the hill the wall was their braking system. It was so funny to watch the sled stop immediately and their bodies slide from the back of the sled to the front in a split second without changing position. I couldn't stop laughing when they would hit the wall. I think Dad may need some help. It can't be right to laugh when my kids sled full speed into a wall.

The afternoon was so much fun. I was all geared up to go for a run when I got home early, but I saw the untouched snow outside, heard the drown of a movie melting my kids brains, and decided a family activity would be more rewarding than a run. I was right! I couldn't believe how long the boys played outside.

For anyone who is familiar with our yard we had a sled track that started at our shed and ended in the back yard of a Lakeview neighbor 2 houses down. I'm gearing these boys up for snowshoeing soon.
