So, in my last post when I said everyone seemed happier by the end of the night, I lied. I was not happier. I was actually very angry. You see, Brooke and I thought it would be fun to do some fancy moves on the fire pole thing at the playground. I decided to go upside and when I was done I just let me feet fall down and I hit my heel right on the playground platform. Holy crap it hurt. And this is the result:
I haven't been able to put much weight on it, so I have been walking around on my toes for the past 2 days. It wouldn't be that bad, but I have my Bear Lake Race on Saturday and the Wasatch Back next weekend. It seems that I always have something happen to me right before the Bear Lake race. This will actually be the third year in a row I have had an injury. It started out with my IT band, the next year a stress fracture, and now a severely bruised heel from playing on a playground. Duh.
I am starting to really believe I am cursed.
I may not be signing up for Bear Lake ever again....

NOOO! That looks so painful! I hope you're better by Bear Lake, and I definitely hope you're better by Wasatch Back!!!
So, I guess I've got the upper hand in our Hobble Creek competition? Good thing... I could use the "help."
And yet you still have impressive times. I can't believe how cursed you really are. Better keep the pole dancing to a minimum until you're finished with races.
That sucks!! I saw you running a couple of weeks ago. You were running SO fast. Hopefully your foot will feel better soon. Remember to be more careful when playing at the playground:).
Wow. That looks really painful - I hope you heal (no pun intended) up soon!
